SharePoint Feature Factory is a Guidance Automation Package for SharePoint solutions and features.

SharePoint Feature Factory

SharePoint Feature Factory, SFF, is a set a toolkit for creating Visual Studio solutions for SharePoint, which can be very troublesome with all text and XML files that is needed. SFF is your solution to that problem.

SFF does not require that WSS/MOSS2007 is installed on the development server, but instead creates a script for installation on a remote machine (for example a Virtual PC).

• Create a SharePoint Feature WSP file
  • Including install scripts
  • Including feature (de)installation events
• Generates a .DDF file for packaging the feature
• Add a WebPart to the Feature
  • Create additional WebPart Xml files for the feature, such as a .webpart file and configures the feature to include the WebPart
